Detection: Production-consumption models based on Linear Economy and Conventional Technologies that have been going on since the industrial revolution and on which the seeds were planted (institutions and rules) under the leadership of the USA after the 2nd World War and developed by creating its own market/interdependence accordingly, and now gripping the whole world. Unjust and unethical globalization and globalization based on brutal capitalism have plunged our world into 3 simultaneous swamps.
Unfortunately, our civilization has brought a total “to the brink of disaster” in terms of “(i) Eco/political, (ii) Ecological, (iii) individual/social (including unitary state structure)” at the global level, and we are heading towards a partial apocalypse. Our civilization has entered the age of natural disasters and calamities (diseases).
In summary, we have come to the end of the Civilization based on Linear Economy and Conventional Technologies as you know, now we are moving towards a GREEN and CIRCULATIONAL ECONOMY/CIVILIZATION with the force of the mace. This giant transformation is largely led by the EU with the GREEN AGREEMENT. The EU covers perhaps 20% of the world economy, but its vacuum and transformative impact is huge both in its region and globally; therefore, the EU constitutes the regulatory-supervisory rules/seeds and infrastructure of the GREEN and CYCLICAL ECONOMY to a large extent.
FORESIGHT Regarding the World we will enter after 2025 “with the force of the mace”:
It will radically change our lives with the legal and voluntary rules of the Green and Circular Economy, which we will be a part of by force. We will experience constructive destruction in many areas of life; eco/political, socio-cultural/economic, producer-consumer behavior, production-consumption processes/relationship will change completely. The biggest blow to economies and sectors – besides legal regulations – will come with a new generation conscious and voluntary, organized (with the power of social media) “consumer slap”.
From now on, 2 issues will be very vital for producers of goods and services in many sectors; (i) The amount of carbon footprint in their products and (ii) how much recycled (waste) materials they use in their products…
The effects on (a) finance / capital – (b) company management / perception – (c) product (goods-services) will be as follows;
a- Financing/Capital
For example, credit-financing policies of banks will change completely, banks will now have to use a significant part of their deposits in the field of green and circular economy for both consumers and producers/operators (tax incentives and legal knobs/reward-punishment). There will also be significant exemptions and incentives for the capital used in this field in investment decisions.
b- Company Management/perception/performance and evaluation
Companies (manufacturers and operators) will no longer be solely responsible for their profit-loss and financial statements, not only will their performance and value be determined accordingly, but will also be evaluated and priced regarding SUSTAINABILITY (green and circular economy criteria), and market perception will be formed accordingly. This evaluation and perception will have a great impact on both the legal (reward-punishment) and the consumer perception in the market. From now on, the more each company has become a part of the green and circular economy, the more future it will have; otherwise it will be out of the game.
In order to survive and to make a difference, companies will have to pay themselves to create a “Green and Circular” company label/perception of zero waste-zero emissions (standardization will come); Those who fail will be treated as lepers in the market and will be excluded from the game.
c- Goods and Services products:
The manufacturer company will be responsible for the fate of the goods and service products, from production to the consumer and even after use. Each product will have a green passport (carbon footprint created during the entire production process up to the final product, recycling rate of each product, etc.).
Just like the “smoking is harmful to health” label, there will be labels on the products showing the carbon footprint, and even if you pay the tax-fine on the quota (in terms of legal responsibility), you will not be able to escape the consumer slap and your consumer product will not prefer it. “
Now, every company will be able to produce goods-services from the produce-use-dispose method, according to the produce-use-reuse/evaluate method.
For example, let’s give two striking examples from the goods and services sector.
a) A company that produces (physical) goods; Even if it is in a dominant position in the sector, if the carbon footprint and recycling amount created by all the raw materials used in its products are high in the final product, the consumer will not be able to escape from the slap (social media pressure) and will be hit hard even if he pays the price legally.
b) Consider a hotel or restaurant in the service sector; from now on the green and circularity of the building of this hotel and restaurant, and the greener and more circular all the goods and services it offers, the more future it will have; otherwise it will be out of the game. In fact, especially the EU will gradually increase its incentive mechanisms (reward-punishment) in this direction (which is why it is important after 2025), and will guide consumers both within itself and in all countries with which it trades (consumption and production) according to the green and circular economy.
So, for example, when German tour operators sell their packages or flight tickets (including how green and circular the plane is), the green and circularity of the destination hotel or country will be included in these prices/reward-punishment. If a hotel in Antalya is green and cyclically inadequate both in terms of building and services/products (in terms of sustainability), Germans will prefer it less, etc (conscious consumers will do this without legal rewards-penalties anyway).
In the final analysis, Linear Economy and Conventional Economy/Civilization are about to collapse rapidly, replaced by GREEN and CIRCULAR ECONOMY/Civilization, with voluntary/mandatory, legal and mace force; Accordingly, we are entering a brand new era in which those who cannot adapt themselves rapidly both in terms of country/economic policies and at the company (manufacturer-operator) level will be out of the game.
